Sales Manager

Sales Manager needed for a leading FMCG company in Kuwait.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of successful experience as a Sales Manager in the FMCG, Pharma or Retail industry, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Proven experience managing and directing a sales team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Financial Department and Commercial Department in establishing and recommending accurate forecasted sales goals for the company.
  • Manage and control sales by area and product to maximize sales revenue and meet Company objectives.
  • Train, coach and appraise sales personnel.
  • Improve sales department and team member’s performance by achieving the KPI’s and objectives.
  • Create and establish a clear price list structure by channel and sector.
  • Prepare an annual forecast for Retail channel customer products and ensure achievement on a monthly basis.
  • Identify and confirm slow-moving products for discontinuation.
  • Set Yearly/Monthly SMART target per outlet per product to meet target achievement & compete for the challenges.
  • Assign outlets split by Salesman and Merchandiser.
  • Educate sales team through programs concerning modern sales and growth, sales of new products, and how to manage multi-profile tasks.
  • Managing in-house and trade in the market stock situation.
  • Establish a promotion activity calendar for SHORT & LONG term and manage performance.
  • Manage trade customers’ annual agreements and monitor ROI performance.
  • Manage returns and freshness KPIs.
  • Plan annual leave schedule for sales team members.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews by channel by area performance.
  • Generate reports and sales tools for the team members.
  • Generate monthly objectives for all sales team members.
  • Evaluate sales team members for annual appraisal.
  • Allocate & control the annual trade Marketing budget by brand by rental agreements.
  • Ensure distribution and visibility implementation are covered for all products by 100%.
  • Establish a launching plan for new brands and SKUs.
  • Ensure increasing market share and planned growth % to meet the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Manage Brand performance by monitoring growth margin @ maximum growth% (>+28%).
  • Establish Trade KPIs linked with the organization’s performance measurements to meet the growth.
  • Managing trade customers’ aging results to meet the organization’s objective.
  • Other tasks related to Sales & trade performance.
